If anyone is interested, I have found a rare Italian game called
'Il Gioco del Mondo' - made and published by DedaloMedia in 1998.
Sadly, no good quality covers or manuals could be found - only a jewel cover of a budget re-edition, and a German box cover. (The game features three languages: Italian, English and German.)
'Il Gioco del Mondo' is a tabletop game focused on geography and education. It could be played with 1, 2, 3 or 4 participants, but in 'hot-sit' mode only (no AI opponents unfortunately). The goal is to travel over the world by taking pictures of landmarks, natural scenes, cities etc. (every player is assigned a random task at the beginning). The 'world' is divided into eight maps with location squares: we take our turn by throwing dice (or rather turning the wheel); each turn takes a certain amount of fuel, water and food - we are allowed to buy more resources at certain locations and earn money by answering quiz questions (at some squares) and sending back home the pictures we take. That's the most beautiful aspect of the game: most locations feature great pictures by famous Italian photographer Cesare Gerolimetto (and some other persons), and we can choose those pictures to take photos of them according to the task assigned to us.

You can download the game from its page here:
